Easter

We had our Easter party right before Spring break. It was a great way to end the week. We started the day by making our own Easter baskets. When party time rolled around we kicked off with an Easter egg hunt. Each child had an egg full of jelly beans with their name on it.

The children then graphed their jellybeans by color.

 Then students dyed their hard boiled eggs. I'm so glad we had so many wonderful volunteers. This station is always the trickiest to run.

Next Students made race cars out of Cloud Cakes (Twinkies), chocolates, and peep bunnies for drivers. It was such a cute crafty treat. The kids loved it! Thanks to Koston's mom for being the brains behind that operation.

Our last station was an egg toss. Here students tossed plastic eggs into my lovely cup concoction...they're supposed to be in the shape of an Easter basket. Good thing the kids are so loving and nice, no one made fun of my homemade target. :)

Thank you to the wonderful parents (of Haylie, Mads, Koston, Mylie, and T.J.) that once again came out to help with the party. The kids LOVED it, and everything ran smoothly. And thank you to all the parents that donated supplies, and continue to donate supplies for our everyday needs as well. Just recently Jaydie's parents took on the enormous task of sanding down all of our building blocks, since some of them were splintering. I was so impressed that they'd volunteer for such a time consuming... and probably finger aching...task. If you see any of these parents, please thank them. I feel so fortunate to have such a great support system so we can continue to do fun things in class.
